Imagine a smooth, off-road bike path that follows an old railway line and farmland backroads to link two wonderful High Country towns, where you can refuel at one of the cafes, pubs or the pie shop. It's not a dream, it's real and you can ride it right here between Beechworth and Yackandandah.
27km one way, the rail trail is achievable by almost anyone thanks to our E-bikes, and our shuttle pickup from Yackandandah to Beechworth takes it to the next level!
You'll encounter wildlife, farm animals and more as you roll through the native forest on the sealed gravel trail. The route is especially beautiful in the morning as you ride east towards the rising sun, but in truth any time of day is a good time to enjoy this ride.
Once you've reached Yackandandah a lovely extra is to continue on the trail to Osborne's Flat. This section winds along Yackandandah Creek and is a very enjoyable addition. Return via the same route to Yack town centre.
